Project Information

Project Title: Exploring Altered Gene Expression Signatures in children with developmental epileptic encephalopathy using NanoString's nCounter Technology.

This extramural research project is sanctioned to Dr. Roonmoni Deka, Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Guwahati, under the CSR Scheme of the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA).

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Medical Physiology / Biochemistry) OR B.Sc./M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health) OR M.Sc. (MLT) OR B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) OR equivalent degree in Life Sciences / Social Sciences from a recognized University with at least one year of relevant experience in data collection.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Assamese.
2. One year experience in research work after obtaining eligibility qualification.
3. Basic computer skills (MS Word/Excel).

Selection Process

Other Important Information

• The appointment is purely contractual and temporary under HEFA’s CSR Scheme.
• The post does not confer any right to permanent appointment at AIIMS Guwahati or HEFA.
• The contract can be terminated by either side with 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
• No hostel or accommodation will be provided.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or joining the post.
• Candidates in government service must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at interview time.
• All updates including interview date, results, and joining details will be displayed on AIIMS Guwahati website only.
• Selected candidates must be ready to travel for data collection to local factories.
• All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Guwahati.
