Note: The remuneration is inclusive of all applicable taxes and no other allowances or facilities will be provided.

Employment Type and Tenure

The engagement is purely on a contractual basis. The initial period of engagement shall be for one year, including a probation period of three weeks. The tenure may be extended annually based on performance, up to a maximum of three years. No extension will be permissible beyond three years under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science, Plantation, Food Processing, Foreign Trade, or Public Policy.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required for Grade-I. Experience not specified for Grade-II.
• Candidates must submit only one application; multiple submissions may lead to rejection.

Working Hours and Leave Policy

• Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday), including a half-hour lunch break.
• In case of work exigencies, candidates may be required to work late hours, weekends, or holidays.
• Eligible for 20 days of leave per year on a pro-rata basis, with prior written approval.
• Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward. Leave without remuneration may be considered for up to one month with approval.
• Maternity leave applicable as per Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.

Termination Conditions

• Engagement may be terminated by either party with a 30-day notice or payment in lieu.
• APEDA reserves the right to terminate engagement for unsatisfactory performance or misconduct.

General Terms and Conditions

• Engagement is subject to verification of educational and experience documents.
• Submission of false information will result in immediate termination and legal action.
• Candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate and police verification report before joining.
• Engagement governed by the Official Secrets Act, 1923 — no unauthorized disclosure of information allowed.
• No claim for permanent employment after the contractual period.
• TA/DA admissible as per Central Government Pay Level 10 (Grade-I) and Pay Level 6 (Grade-II).
• The Business Development Manager must not use APEDA’s name or emblem without prior written permission.
• Conduct should align with APEDA’s ethical, moral, and professional standards.
• Must comply with "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013."
• No compensation or appointment entitlement in the event of death, injury, or illness while serving APEDA.
