Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a First Class M.Sc., M.Tech, or M.Sc. (Tech) degree in Geosciences or allied fields relevant to WIHG’s research areas. They should have submitted or been awarded their Ph.D. in Geosciences with a minimum of three publications in SCI journals (at least one as lead author).

Areas of Specialization include:

1. Paleoclimatology, Tree-ring analysis, Dendroclimatology
2. Mineralogy, Fluid Inclusion, Mantle Petrology, Subduction & Collisional Geodynamics
3. Seismotectonics, Interior of the Earth
4. Low-temperature Thermochronology, Thermo-kinematic Modelling, U-Pb Geochronology of Zircon
5. Vertebrate Paleontology and Biostratigraphy
