Vacancy Distribution & Horizontal Reservation Breakdown

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications

1. Essential Educational Qualification (अनिवार्य अर्हता)

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a Board or Council established by law in India, or an institution recognized by the State Government of Uttarakhand, with Science or Mathematics.

2. Preferential Qualifications (अधिमानी अर्हताएं)

Other things being equal, preference will be given in direct recruitment to candidates who possess:

• Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two (02) years.
• Obtained 'B' or 'C' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

3. State Eligibility Conditions (आवेदन हेतु पात्रता)

For direct recruitment to Group 'C' posts outside the purview of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, a candidate must fulfill at least one of the following mandatory conditions:

• (a) Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must be registered in any Employment Office located in the State of Uttarakhand on or before the last date of receipt of the application form.
• (b) Domicile / Permanent Residence: The candidate must be a holder of a valid Permanent Resident / Domicile Certificate of the State of Uttarakhand.
• (c) Education within the State: Only those candidates are eligible who have passed their High School (10th) and Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent level education from recognized institutions located within the State of Uttarakhand.

Physical Standards & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

(A) Mandatory Physical Standards: Height & Chest Measurement

Relaxation in Height for Hill & Scheduled Tribe Candidates:

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Hill areas—including Gorkha, Nepali, Assamese, Ladakhi, Sikkimese, Bhutanese, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Naga, Arunachal Pradesh, Lahaul & Spiti, and Meghalaya—the minimum height standards are as follows:

• Male Candidates: 152 cm
• Female Candidates: 145 cm

(B) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Qualifying Standards

Age Limits & Relaxations

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 18 years and must not have attained more than 28 years of age as on July 01, 2026. Therefore, the candidate's date of birth must not be after July 01, 2008 and must not be before July 02, 1998.

Category-Wise Upper Age Limit Relaxations:

• SC, ST, and OBC of Uttarakhand: Upper age limit relaxation of 05 years as per Uttarakhand Government Order No. 1399 dated May 21, 2005.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD / Divyang) of Uttarakhand: Upper age limit relaxation of 10 years as per Government Order No. 1244 dated May 21, 2005 for Group 'C' posts.
• Dependents of Freedom Fighters (DFF) of Uttarakhand: Upper age limit relaxation of 05 years as per Government Order No. 1244 dated May 21, 2005.
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM) of Uttarakhand: As per Notification No. 6/1/72-Karmik-2 dated April 25, 1977, Ex-Servicemen are permitted to deduct the period of armed forces service from their actual age. If the resulting age does not exceed the prescribed maximum age limit by more than three (03) years, they will be deemed to have satisfied the age condition.

Selection Process

1. Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST / PET): Conducted to verify qualifying physical standards (height, chest) and endurance criteria (running, shot put, long jump, high jump). This stage is strictly qualifying in nature.
2. Written Competitive Examination: A 100-mark objective type multiple choice (MCQ) examination conducted exclusively for candidates who qualify the PST/PET.
3. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Review: Scrutiny of original certificates, qualification records, reservation documents, and final medical assessment prior to formal appointment.

Step-by-Step Online Application Process

1. Visit the official portal of UKSSSC at www.sssc.uk.gov.in.
2. Click on the active recruitment link corresponding to Advertisement No. 82/30अ0से०च०आ०/2026 for Scaler (Uttarakhand Van Vikas Nigam).
3. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) profile if not registered previously, or log in using your existing credentials.
4. Fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and communication details.
5. Upload the mandatory scanned copies: High School (10th) certificate (for name and date of birth verification) and both sides of the Aadhaar Card, along with photograph, signature, and applicable category/sub-category certificates.
6. Pay the prescribed online application fee via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI payment gateways.
7. Submit the completed application form before October 22, 2026, and save/print the final application receipt for future reference.
8. Make any required corrections during the designated modification window from October 26, 2026 to October 27, 2026.
