Base Salary / Emoluments

₹25,000/- per month (fixed) along with Travelling Allowance as per Government norms.

Employment Type

Contractual / Fellowship. The tenure is initially for 1 year and may be extended based on satisfactory performance. The engagement can also be terminated at any time without reason if performance is not found satisfactory.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Forestry / Wildlife / Soil Sciences with at least 60% marks (First Division) from a recognized University.

Desirable Knowledge and Work Experience

• Good knowledge and skills in computer applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint etc.)
• Field work experience in forestry research with knowledge and experience in identification of trees, shrubs, and herbs
• Experience in measurement of inventory parameters of forest vegetation
• Knowledge of GIS, handling of GPS devices, and basic knowledge of Geospatial Technologies
• Physically fit for extensive travel and trekking in mountainous/plain regions
• Research articles published in recognized journals
• Preference for candidates with prior experience in Forestry, Wildlife, or Biodiversity related surveys and research

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is 35 years as on 01.01.2025. Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per Uttarakhand State Government rules.

Selection Process

• Selected candidates will be engaged in biodiversity surveys, field assessments, and forestry plan preparation
• Selected candidates will be required to travel extensively in forest areas
