Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (A Scheduled Bank Owned by Government) has released an official recruitment notification (Annexure-II) inviting applications from retired bank officers and other eligible professionals for engagement as Financial Literacy Counselors (FLCs) on a contract basis. The contractual engagement is designated across multiple operational districts within the service area of the bank.

Eligibility Criteria

(A) Educational Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Mandatory Qualification: Graduation / Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Preferred Qualification: Preference will be accorded to candidates possessing a Post Graduate degree in subjects including:
- Agriculture
- Veterinary Science
- Sociology
- Psychology
- Social Work
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language is required.
Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated interest in teaching/counseling and operational working knowledge of computers.
Domain Competency: The applicant must possess adequate knowledge in the areas of banking, insurance, investment, pension systems, law, and finance.
Soft Skills: Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, team-building capability, and problem-solving abilities.

(B) Experience Criteria

Applicants must fulfill at least one of the following experience conditions:

Option 1: Ex-bankers possessing a minimum of 5 years of work experience in any Nationalized Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB).

Option 2: Individuals possessing a minimum of 5 years of work experience in banking, related financial sectors, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), or financial institutions.

Option 3: Individuals possessing a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Business Correspondent (BC) or Business Correspondent (BC) Coordinator.

Option 4: Individuals possessing a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director in Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Faculty member in RSETI.

Important Preference Note: Retired employees of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank will be granted priority/preference in selection.

(C) Residential Criteria

The applicant must be a permanent resident of the applied district or an immediately adjacent district.
In case of temporary residence, the applicant must have been residing in the applied district continuously for a minimum period of three (03) years, which is subject to acceptance upon production of valid supporting documents.

(D) Age Limit

The age of the applicant must be 65 years or below at the time of appointment.

Remuneration, Honorarium & Contract Tenure

Fixed Honorarium	₹15,000/- per month	Fixed monthly amount payable during the period of engagement.
Miscellaneous Expenses	Up to ₹3,000/- per month	Payable based on candidate performance and fulfillment of prescribed parameters.

Ensure the physical packet arrives at the bank's Head Office on or before the closing deadline: September 23, 2026, by 05:00 PM.
