Tenure & Terms of Appointment

Initial probation period: Up to 6 months.
Total tenure: 3 years (including probation period).
Extendable up to 5 years (3 + 1 + 1) based on performance.
Bond amount: ₹3,00,000 as per Board Order No. 1051-kavini & viniyam-29/PCL/2020-04-kavini/20 dated 16.09.2020.
Notice period for resignation: 3 months.
Appointment will be full-time; no private practice or other business activity permitted.
The Company Secretary will serve as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) under the Companies Act, 2013.

Pay Scale & Allowances

Pay Level: Level-13 of the 7th Pay Commission.
Pay Band: ₹37,400 – ₹67,000.
Grade Pay: ₹8,900.
Basic Pay: ₹1,31,100.
Approximate Monthly Remuneration: ₹2,15,343 (including DA, HRA, and Medical Allowance).
Annual Increment and DA applicable as per UPPCL employee rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Conditions

Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

Minimum age: 35 years | Maximum age: 55 years (as on 01.07.2025), inclusive of all relaxations.

Educational Qualification

Must be a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Must hold a Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Candidates with a qualification as Cost Accountant from a recognized institute will be given preference.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of independent work experience as a Company Secretary in a listed company.
Experience as Proprietor or Partner of a firm will not be considered.
Experience certificate from Firm/Company or Form-32/DIR-12 must be submitted as proof.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on Academic and Professional Qualification, Experience, followed by an Interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview.
