THDC India Limited is a leading profit-making Public Sector Enterprise registered as a Public Limited Company in July 1988 under the Companies Act, 1956. Initially, the equity participation was shared between the Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh in the ratio of 75:25. After strategic sale on 25th March 2020, equity is shared between NTPC Limited and Government of Uttar Pradesh in the ratio of 74.496:25.504.

THDCIL was conferred “Mini Ratna – Category I” status in October 2009 and upgraded to Schedule “A” PSU in July 2010 by the Government of India. The company has maintained consistent profitability since the first year (2006–07) of commercial operation of its maiden project, Tehri Hydro Power Plant (1000 MW).

THDCIL operates across Hydro, Thermal, Wind, Solar, and Coal Mining domains and is committed to sustainable and clean energy development. The total installed capacity stands at 3,657 MW comprising:

• 2,174 MW from Hydro
• 113 MW from Wind
• 50 MW from Solar
• 1,320 MW from Thermal

The company is actively developing additional hydro projects and Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks through strategic joint ventures.

Post Details

Employment Type & Tenure

• Engagement on Fixed Tenure / Purely Short-Term Basis
• Initial Contract Period: 1 Year
• Extension: Yearly basis based on performance
• Maximum Engagement Period: 4 Years
• Engagement automatically terminates after tenure completion
• No claim for regularization or permanent absorption

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Master of Physiotherapy in Musculoskeletal Disorders and Sports (MPT-MSS)
• OR Master of Physiotherapy in Neurological and Psychosomatic Disorders (MPT-NPD)
• Full-Time and Regular from recognized University/Institute
• Xth and XIIth must also be Full-Time and Regular

Experience Rules

• Apprenticeship training counted as experience
• Internship, Teaching, Research, JRF/SRF, PhD Scholar, Academic roles not counted
• Experience certificate must clearly mention designation, department, joining date, relieving date, cadre, and nature of experience

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 45 Years
• Age computed as on 11.02.2026
• Age Relaxation for PwBD: 10 Years
• Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Ex-Servicemen/J&K Domiciled as per Government of India guidelines

Reservation & PwBD Eligibility

Reservation applicable as per Government of India directives for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/J&K Domiciled/Victims of riots/Project Affected Families.
