Application Process

1. Candidates must apply online through the official website of TISS at www.tiss.edu.
2. After submission, candidates should print the acknowledgment for future reference.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for an online interview.
4. Scanned copies of a color passport-size photograph and self-attested copies of certificates should be emailed to personnel@tiss.edu.
5. Original documents will be verified upon final selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Social Work or allied fields from an Indian or recognized foreign university.
• Cleared the UGC NET/SLET/SET or obtained a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D.) Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
• Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among top 500 globally (QS, THE, or ARWU).

Ph.D. Exemption Clause (for candidates registered before July 11, 2009):

• Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
• Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
• Open viva voce conducted.
• Published at least two research papers (one in a refereed journal).
• Presented at least two papers in recognized conferences/seminars.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of candidates based on qualifications and experience.
• Online interview for shortlisted candidates (details will be sent via email).
• Verification of original documents for selected candidates before appointment.
• Selected candidates must join within 15 days of selection.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee a call for interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
