Eligibility Criteria (As on 31.08.2026)

1. Age Limit

The maximum age of the applicant must not exceed 57 years as on 31.08.2026.

2. Required Educational Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Communications Engineering / Cyber Security or Equivalent Degree in the above specified disciplines with a minimum of 50% score.
OR
MCA (Master of Computer Applications).
OR
M.Tech / M.Sc in Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Electronics / Electronics & Communications Engineering / Cyber Security or Equivalent Degree in the above specified disciplines.

Note on Institutions: Qualifications must be from a University / Institution / Board recognized by Govt. of India / approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies.

3. Preferred Certifications (As on 31.08.2026)

Professional certifications in the relevant domain are preferred:

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Mandatory Condition: The above certificates should be valid as on the date of the Interview.

4. Work Experience & Specific Skills (As on 31.08.2026)

Essential Post-Qualification Experience

The applicant must have at least 15-20 years post-qualification experience in Information Technology / Information Security in Banks / Large Corporates / PSUs / FIs / Financial Services Organizations / Financial & Technology Consulting firms.
Of the total experience, a minimum of 5 years should be in the core domain area of Information Security / Cyber Security / Cyber Defence in Banks / FIs at Senior Management Level.

Desirable Experience & Domain Expertise

Candidates who have worked as CISO / Dy. CISO would be preferred.
Experience in Information Security, Cyber Defence, Security Operations, Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Security Architecture, Cloud Security, and IT Infrastructure.
Experienced in engaging with Board-level stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and executive leadership to strengthen cyber resilience and support secure business growth.
Experienced in managing large-scale security transformation programs, leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing managed security services, implementing AI-driven security operations, and protecting critical financial infrastructure.

Important Disqualification Clause: Training & Teaching experience will not be counted for eligibility.

Selection Procedure

The engagement to the post of Group CISO on a contractual basis will be conducted through the following stages:

Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications, relevant experience, and profile screening.
Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called to appear for the personal interview round.
CTC Negotiation: Candidates recommended after the interview will undergo CTC negotiation (within the maximum ceiling of up to Rs 2.50 Crore per annum).
