Job Profile and Responsibilities

• Collection, compilation, analysis, and interpretation of economic data from multiple sources.
• Performing statistical and econometric analysis, empirical testing of data, and model building.
• Conceptual and methodological studies on money, banking, prices, saving, investment, and national accounts.
• Designing and organizing large-scale sample surveys, and analyzing data collected.
• Macro-econometric model building for forecasting economic and banking indicators.
• Preparation and publication of Eco Wraps, articles, and background papers for top management.
• Support to various departments like Budget, Policy Guidelines, and Capital Raising exercises.
• Providing feedback or opinions to RBI, Government, and IBA.
• Publishing research articles and representing SBI in professional forums.
• Note: Actual Key Result Areas (KRAs) will be assigned after joining.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Note: Cumulative age relaxation will not be available under multiple categories.

Reservation Details

• Reservation for PwBD candidates is horizontal and included in the overall vacancies.
• Vacancies including reserved ones are provisional and subject to change as per Bank’s requirement.
• Candidates from OBC Creamy Layer are not eligible for OBC reservation.
• OBC candidates must produce Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued between 01.04.2025 and the interview date.
• Benefit of reservation/relaxation is applicable only on submission of valid certificate issued by Competent Authority.
• Only persons with benchmark disabilities (≥40%) are eligible under PwBD category as per RPwD Act, 2016.

Application Fees

Fees to be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. Once paid, fees will not be refunded or adjusted.

Application Process

1. Visit SBI’s official career page and register online through the link available under Current Openings.
2. Upload photograph, signature, and required documents in prescribed formats.
3. Submit the completed application form and make the payment online.
4. Take a printout of the system-generated form and e-receipt for record.
5. No hard-copy of application or documents to be sent to the Bank.
6. Candidates must possess a valid email ID and mobile number till completion of the selection process.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Based on eligibility and parameters decided by the Bank.
• Interview: 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by SBI.
• Merit List: Prepared in descending order of interview scores. In case of tie, older candidate will rank higher.
• Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interaction/interview. Call letters will be sent via email or uploaded on Bank’s website.

• Appointment is subject to medical fitness, background verification, and reference checks.
• Candidates with defaulted loans or adverse CIBIL reports are ineligible until issues are regularized.
• Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed economy class airfare or actual fare up to ₹10,000 (whichever is lower).
• Courts and Tribunals in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes.
