Organization Details

Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad is one of the lead Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS). SAC focuses on the design of space-borne instruments for terrestrial and planetary missions of ISRO and development and operationalisation of space technology for societal benefits.

The Centre contributes significantly in fields like communication, broadcasting, navigation, disaster monitoring, meteorology, oceanography, environment monitoring, and natural resources management. All the transponders for INSAT and GSAT series of communication satellites and the optical and microwave sensors for IRS series of earth observation satellites are designed and developed at SAC.

03	Project Associate – I	01	B.Tech in Computer Science / Data Science with minimum 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA on 10-point scale.	–	GIS and software support to IPCM project for remote sensing data analysis, development of web-based crop mapping, potato yield modelling, Ground Truth (GT) measurements.	₹31,000/- per month + HRA
04	Project Associate – I	04	M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences (Agricultural Meteorology / Agricultural Physics / Agronomy / Crop Physiology / Soil Science / Plant Pathology / Agricultural Statistics / Agricultural Economics / Agricultural Analytics / Agricultural Informatics / Agricultural Technology) with minimum 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA.	–	Development of methodology using Remote Sensing data for crop discrimination, mapping, acreage estimation, crop yield and market arrival modelling, crop health assessment for abiotic and biotic stress, development of agro-advisory and forewarning products. Age Limit

Maximum 35 years as on 22.09.2025
Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL

Selection Process

The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and does not automatically make candidates eligible for selection. Shortlisting will be done based on academic records if applications are large in number. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Final selection will be made solely based on interview performance.

List of shortlisted candidates and interview schedule will be published on the SAC website. No separate call letters will be issued.

No application fees for any post.

Reservation Details

Reservation will be applicable as per Government of India rules. OBC candidates must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate. PwBD candidates must submit a valid certificate indicating at least 40% benchmark disability.
