Salary Details

The pay, allowances and perks vary depending upon minimum post-qualification work experience.

For lump-sum basis, basic remuneration will be increased at the rate of 3% for each year of additional post-qualification work experience above the minimum required.

The remuneration mentioned is indicative. Actual pay will depend upon place of posting and other terms & conditions of appointment.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility varies by post (VC No.) and qualification. Key highlights are:

• Degree holders: Minimum 4 years post-qualification relevant experience in Infrastructure / Railway / Civil / Electrical / Electronics projects.
• Diploma holders: Minimum 7 years relevant experience in respective engineering domain.
• Educational qualifications must be recognized by AICTE/UGC. Degrees from universities incorporated by Central/State legislature or deemed universities are accepted.
• Sections A & B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to a degree, are accepted.
• Relevant experience requirements differ across posts (Signalling, Civil Design, SCADA, Environmental management, QS & Billing, etc.).

Note: Experience will be calculated as on 09.10.2025. Only post-qualification experience will be considered.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 55 years as on 09.10.2025.

Relaxations in upper age limit:

• OBC (NCL) / SC / ST candidates against reserved posts – as per Government of India rules.
• PWD candidates (40% disability or more): 10 years relaxation in upper age limit.
• Other categories such as Ex-Servicemen, J&K domicile: Relaxation as per extant orders.

Reservation Details

Reservations / concessions will be provided to EWS, SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PWD, Ex-Servicemen, and J&K domicile as per Government of India guidelines.

Persons with Disabilities (PWD):

• Eligible categories: OA (One arm), OL (One leg), HI (Hearing Impaired), LV (Low Vision), Leprosy Cured, Acid Attack Victims.
• Physical Requirements: Sitting, Standing, Bending, Manipulation by Fingers, Walking, Reading and Writing, Communication, Hearing, Kneeling, Jumping, Climbing, etc.
• Candidates belonging to identified PWD categories can apply even if no vacancies are reserved, and will be considered under general merit.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on an Interview with 100% weightage.

• Technical & Professional Proficiency: 65%
• Personality, Communication & Competency: 35%

Minimum qualifying marks in Interview:

• UR / EWS: 60%
• SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PWD (reserved posts): 50%

• Candidates may attend interview in Hindi or English.
• Appointment subject to medical fitness as per RITES standards.
• Original documents must be produced during verification.

Application Process

1. Apply online through Career Section of RITES website.
2. Upon submission, a Registration Number is generated which must be quoted for all future communications.
3. Candidates should print and sign the application form containing the Registration Number.
4. At the time of document verification / selection, candidates must bring self-attested copies and originals of:
   • Resume / CV
   • Passport size photograph
   • Proof of Date of Birth (10th certificate)
   • Certificates of Academic & Professional qualifications
   • Category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC) in prescribed format (if applicable)
   • PAN Card & Aadhaar Card
   • Experience certificates, joining letter, last salary slip, Form 16, etc.
   • Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC) must be as per Govt. of India format, OBC certificate not older than 12 months with "Non-Creamy Layer" mention.
   • Proof of salary (Form 16 / Salary slip / Appraisal letter, etc.).
   • PWD Certificate (if applicable).

Important: Hard copies of documents are not to be sent to RITES office by post/courier. Incomplete applications or insufficient proof will result in rejection.
