Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  1. Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering, OR
  2. Full-time Degree in M.Sc. in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry, OR
  3. Full-time Degree in B.Sc. with Physics & Chemistry
• Experience: Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in Spectro & Material testing at lab or equivalent (e.g., sand, slag, BHN, tensile, yield, elongation, impact, micro/macro examination).
• Marks Requirement:
  • B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. candidates: Minimum 60% (all categories)
  • B.Sc. candidates: Minimum 45% (all categories)
• Degree must be recognized by AICTE/UGC.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 14 September 2025)
• Age Relaxations:
  • OBC (NCL)/SC/ST – As per Govt. rules (against reserved posts)
  • PWD – 10 years (with minimum 40% relevant disability)

Salary and Compensation

Note: Actual remuneration shall depend on place of posting and terms of appointment. Figures mentioned are indicative only.

2. On submission, note down the Registration Number generated by the system.
3. Print and sign the application form; retain it and bring it during document verification.
4. Submit self-attested copies of Resume, photograph, Date of Birth proof, Academic & Professional Certificates, Identity Proof, PAN, Category certificate (if applicable), Experience proofs, PWD Certificate (if applicable).
5. Choose preferred interview mode/location at the time of submission (Patna/Kolkata/Online).
6. Ensure all information is correct; incomplete/false claims will lead to rejection.

• EWS/SC/ST/PWD Candidates: NIL

Selection Process

The applications received shall be screened for eligibility and shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The selection process will be as follows:

• Interview – 100% weightage
  • Technical & Professional Proficiency – 65%
  • Personality, Communication & Competency – 35%
• Qualifying marks in Interview:
  • UR/EWS: 60%
  • SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD (reserved posts): 50%
• Final appointment subject to Medical Fitness Test as per RITES Rules.
• Candidates can choose to appear for interview in English or Hindi.

Reservation & Disability Provisions

Though all three vacancies are unreserved, candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD/Ex-SM categories will be provided reservation/relaxation as per Government of India norms, where applicable.

• Physical Requirements: Sitting, Standing, Walking, Reading/Writing, Bending, Seeing, Communication, Finger Manipulation, Climbing, etc.

Candidates must download the admit card directly and appear between 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
