Base Salary (Monthly Consolidated)

• ₹1,80,000 per month – for candidates with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• ₹2,00,000 per month – for candidates with minimum 12 years of relevant experience

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

M.Tech / M.E / M.Sc in Environmental Engineering / Public Health Engineering / Structural Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Sanitary Engineering / Water Resource Engineering. PhD holders will be preferred.

Experience Required

• Solid Waste Expert: Minimum 10 years in Solid Waste Management / Leachate Management or related field – ₹ 1,80,000 p.m.; or 12 years – ₹ 2,00,000 p.m.
• Standard & Specification Expert: Minimum 10 years in Standards & Specifications for sewage, wastewater management, sludge and solid waste – ₹ 1,80,000 p.m.; or 12 years – ₹ 2,00,000 p.m.

Note: Training / internship / academic / teaching / fellowship / PhD research experience will not be counted toward experience.

Age Limit

Maximum 63 years as on 10 November 2025 (cut-off date). No extension beyond 65 years of age.

Application Process

1. Apply online via the Career section on the RITES website (www.rites.com).
2. Complete the registration form to generate a unique Registration Number.
3. Upload self-attested scanned copies of required documents (photo, DOB proof, academic certificates, experience, ID proof, PAN, Aadhaar, etc.).
4. No hard copy submission is required.
5. Attend Document Verification and Interview either in-person or online.
6. Engagement Letter will be issued after client approval of the candidate’s CV.

Note: Mere submission of documents does not guarantee eligibility for interview; eligibility is verified during document scrutiny.

Selection Process

The selection shall be conducted in two stages:

• Stage 1: Document Scrutiny / Verification of eligibility.
• Stage 2: Interview (in-person or online). Candidates will be assessed on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication and interpersonal skills.

Final engagement is subject to approval of the candidate’s CV by the concerned client. RITES reserves the right to shortlist applicants.

Contractual Terms and Conditions

• The Individual Consultant is an independent consultant and not an employee of RITES Ltd.
• No PF, ESI, Gratuity or other statutory benefits are applicable.
• Leave entitlement: 1.5 days for each completed month, non-cumulative. Maternity leave as per Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act 2017.
• Either party may terminate the contract with one month’s notice.
• Police verification is mandatory; a negative report leads to immediate termination.
• No TA/DA for joining assignment or attending interview.
• Income Tax is deducted at source; TDS certificate will be issued by RITES Ltd.
• Corrigendum or addendum will be displayed only on the official website; candidates should check regularly.
• RITES may modify, cancel, or restrict the selection process at any stage without notice.
