Eligibility Criteria

• MBBS degree in Allopathic Medicine from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India
• Postgraduate degree in General Medicine (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as a medical practitioner
• Residence or clinic within 3–5 km from any RBI dispensary

Remuneration and Allowances

• ₹1,000 per hour (fixed)
• ₹1,000 per month as conveyance allowance
• ₹1,000 per month as mobile reimbursement
• No pension, PF, gratuity, or leave benefits
• Holiday duty payment at ₹1,000/hour

1. Fill the application form as per Annex-I.
2. Place the application in a sealed cover.
3. Super-scribe the cover as "Application for the post of Medical Consultant on contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration".

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of candidates based on eligibility.
2. Interview of shortlisted candidates. Bank may raise criteria to limit number of candidates.
3. Candidates selected after interview will undergo medical examination and document verification.
4. Candidates found fit will be empanelled and engaged as per requirement.
5. Engagement is subject to acceptance of Terms & Conditions and signing of contract agreement.

Terms and Conditions of Contract

• Initial engagement for 3 years. No renewal after contract ends.
• Maximum duty: 30 hours/week across all assigned dispensaries.
• MC may be shifted among dispensaries based on RBI’s requirement.
• Duties include attending RBI staff, dependents, pensioners, home visits, issuing medical certificates, administering treatment and minor surgeries.
• MC must maintain proper medical records, assist in audits, and handle emergencies.
• No claim for permanent employment or benefits like leave, PF, gratuity, pension, etc.
• RBI reserves right to alter remuneration, duty hours, dispensary location, or terminate contract for misconduct or breach.
• Contract can be terminated by either party with 3 months' notice or pay in lieu.
• Disputes are subject to arbitration and jurisdiction of Patna courts.

Code of Conduct

1. Obey directions from authorized RBI officials.
2. Maintain strict confidentiality of RBI affairs and patient information.
3. Serve the Bank with honesty and integrity.
4. No participation in political activity or trade unions.
5. Shall not write/publish any confidential Bank-related content without permission.
6. Avoid intoxication and misconduct during duty.
7. Shall not solicit or accept gifts, or be involved in referral kickbacks.
8. Contract is liable to termination on breach of conduct or terms.

Reservation and Document Requirements

• SC/ST candidates must submit valid caste certificates in prescribed central government format.
• Provisional engagement subject to submission of caste validity/income & asset certificate within 6 months.
• Failure to submit valid proof will lead to termination without compensation.
