Application Process

1. Candidates must apply in the prescribed format (Annex-III).
2. Application should be submitted in a sealed cover to:
   Regional Director,
   Reserve Bank of India, Human Resource Management Department,
   Plot No. 16–17, IT Park, Sahastradhara Road,
   Dehradun – 248013, Uttarakhand.
3. Envelope should be superscribed as: “Application for the post of Bank’s Medical Consultant (BMC) on Contract Basis with fixed hourly remuneration.”
4. Application must be accompanied by photocopies of certificates of professional/academic/other qualifications, caste certificate (if applicable), and experience certificate(s).
5. Incomplete applications or those not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Minimum: MBBS degree (Allopathic system of medicine) from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • Desirable: Postgraduate degree in General Medicine from an MCI-recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum of two (02) years practicing allopathic system of medicine in any hospital or clinic as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• Residence Requirement: The applicant should have his/her own dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 30 KMs from the Bank’s dispensary.

Age Limit

No specific upper or lower age limit has been mentioned. Candidates must meet qualification and experience criteria as per the notification.

There is no application fee required for this post.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on eligibility and document verification.
• Interview for shortlisted candidates.
• Medical examination as per RBI norms (cost to be borne by the applicant).
• Final selection is subject to medical fitness and acceptance of Terms and Conditions (Annex I) and Code of Conduct (Annex II).
• Selected candidates must sign an agreement with the Bank before engagement.

Working Hours

Note: Working hours are subject to change as per the Bank’s requirement. If required to attend the dispensary on any public holiday, compensation @ ₹1,000/- per hour shall be paid.

Contract Terms

• The engagement is purely on contract basis for a period of three (03) years.
• There will not be any renewal of engagement on completion of the contract period. However, eligible candidates can re-apply.
• No superannuation benefits viz. Pension, Provident Fund or Gratuity will be payable for this engagement.
• No leave, perquisites or facilities are admissible.
• The contract may be terminated by giving three months’ notice on either side or three months’ remuneration in lieu thereof.
• The doctor shall be required to submit a “Self-Declaration” or “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” from employer if already engaged elsewhere.
• Disputes arising from the contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of Dehradun courts.
