Knowledge of Punjabi
Knowledge of Punjabi is essential for all posts. All candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or an equivalent level before the last date of submission of the online application form.
Reservation Details
Reservation for women candidates will be applied as per Punjab Civil Services (Reservation for Women) Rules 2020. 33% of the posts are reserved for women of Punjab domicile only. If any vacancies reserved for women remain unfilled due to lack of sufficient number of eligible women candidates, such vacancies will be filled from amongst eligible male candidates of the same category.
Probation Period Notes
During the probation period or the extended probation period (whichever is applicable), newly appointed candidates shall be paid the “minimum admissible pay” as per the Department of Finance guidelines. This minimum pay does not include any Dearness Allowance, annual increment, or any other allowance except medical reimbursement (if any) and travelling allowance as per the entitlement of the post. These rules follow Punjab Government Finance Department Notification No. 7/204/2012-4FP-1/66.

Salary Structure

- ₹35,400/- – For JE (Electrical, Civil, Communication), Divisional Accountant, Law Officer Grade-II
- ₹19,900/- – For Telephone Mechanic, LDC/Typist, LDC (Accounts)
