Position Details

Selection Process

Job Responsibilities

• Provide free medical consultation to staff and their family members.
• Scrutinize and certify correctness of medical/hospitalization/ex-gratia bills.
• Advise in special medical cases such as leave or transfer on medical grounds.
• Conduct medical checkups for new recruits.
• Provide medical opinion or assistance as and when required by the Bank.
• Prescribe medicines and treatment in case of medical emergencies.
• Assist with any other medical-related tasks assigned by the Bank.

• Medical Consultant shall arrange a suitable substitute at his/her own cost, acceptable to the Bank, in case of continuous absence for more than two days.
• Not eligible for benefits available to part-time or full-time Bank employees such as leave, LFC, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, reimbursement of medical expenses, briefcase, newspaper, etc.
• Engagement is temporary. No claim for regular employment or pay parity with regular staff shall be entertained.
• Bank reserves the right to alter duty hours and/or location as per administrative/operational needs.
• Disputes arising from this contract shall be subject to the jurisdiction of local courts where the Zonal Office is located.
• Medical Consultant shall maintain confidentiality about the Bank’s and customers' information unless legally or officially required to disclose.
• Consultant must serve the Bank honestly and faithfully and promote its interests while maintaining courteous conduct.
• Strictly prohibited from engaging in any act of sexual harassment at the workplace.
• Engagement may be terminated if the Consultant is arrested, detained, or charged under any law.
• Bank reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit interview calls. The decision of the Bank is final.
• Bank is not obliged to respond to applicants not shortlisted for the interview.
