Research Investigator (Regular) Pay Level-7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 + admissible allowances
Research Investigator (Contractual) Consolidated fixed pay ₹75,115 per month
Data Assistant / Computer cum Tabulator Consolidated fixed pay ₹42,465 per month
Research Fellow – I Consolidated fixed pay ₹28,000 per month
Research Fellow – II Consolidated fixed pay ₹25,000 per month
Allowances will be admissible as per PRC guidelines wherever applicable.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess at least a Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Demography / Population Studies / Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Sociology / Social Work / Psychology / Anthropology / Geography or Public Health from a recognized institution or university, as applicable to the post.

Experience Requirements

  • Research Investigator: Minimum 3 years experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
  • Research Fellow – I: Minimum 4 years experience after Post Graduation or Ph.D. (relaxable).
  • Research Fellow – II: Minimum 1 year experience after Post Graduation (relaxable).
  • Data Assistant: Experience in data handling using statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, R, SAS, etc.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 / 21 years (post-wise)
  • Maximum Age: 40 years as on the last date of application
  • Age Relaxation: As per Uttar Pradesh State Government rules

Reservation Details

Reservation will be provided for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD candidates as per Uttar Pradesh State Government norms. Candidates must submit valid category certificates along with the application form.

The application fee must be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, University of Lucknow, payable at Lucknow. No application fee shall be charged for contractual Research Fellow posts.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be carried out as per the orders of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Lucknow.
  • Shortlisting followed by Interview.
  • Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
