Candidates will be engaged in various trades across different units/divisions. Trades include:

• Electrician (Coaching, Power, TRD, Elect./G, TRD)
• Carpenter (Engineering/Mechanical)
• Painter (Engineering/General)
• Mason (Engineering)
• Pipe Fitter
• Fitter (C&W, Mechanical)
• Diesel Mechanic
• Electronics Mechanic (S&T)
• Computer Operator & Programming Assistant
• Stenographer (English/Hindi)
• House Keeper (Hospital)
• Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Welder (Gas & Electric)
• Machinist, Painter, and other notified trades

Note: Candidates should select the Division/Unit carefully based on their ITI Trade as no changes will be allowed later.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: 10th class examination (Matriculation) or equivalent under 10+2 system with minimum 50% aggregate marks (no rounding off). Must possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
• Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and Maximum 24 years as on 02.11.2025.

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Additional 10 years (with conditions)

Reservation Details

Reservations are applicable as per Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories.

• Candidates must produce valid caste certificates in Central Government format during Document Verification.
• Seats for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen are included in the total vacancies, not additional.
• Unfilled reserved slots may be filled by candidates of other categories as per rules.

Application Fees

Payment must be made online via the RRC Jaipur portal using debit card, credit card, or internet banking.

Selection Process

• Merit list will be prepared based on average percentage of marks in Matriculation and ITI.
• Tie-breaking rules: Older candidate preferred. If DOB is the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
• Final merit list will be prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise.
• Document Verification and Medical Examination will be conducted at the opted Division/Unit.

Other Important Information

• Training period and stipend will be as per Railway Board rules and Apprentices Act, 1961.
• No hostel accommodation will be provided. Candidates must arrange their own stay.
• Engagement as apprentice does not guarantee employment in Railways.
• Medical fitness certificate in prescribed format (Annexure-IV) must be produced during document verification.
• Multiple applications from a candidate will result in rejection.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending Document Verification.
