Base Salary / Remuneration
The remuneration will be a fixed monthly amount as per Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India Office Memorandum F.No.3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 9th December, 2020.
Formula: Last Pay Drawn – Basic Pension = Fixed Monthly Remuneration.
No increments or percentage increases will be applicable during the contract period.
Employment Type
Contractual basis for an initial period of one year. The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance.

Eligibility Criteria
Consultant (Procurement)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- 10-15 years of administrative experience in IITs, NITs, IIMs, Central/State Government Offices, PSUs, PSBs, MNCs, etc.
- Experience in procurement related matters.
- Age Limit: Up to 70 years.
Consultant (Audit)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- 10-15 years of administrative experience in IITs, NITs, IIMs, Central/State Government Offices, PSUs, PSBs, MNCs, etc.
- Experience in audit, accounting, financial matters, PFMS, and Government financial systems.
- Age Limit: Up to 70 years.
Consultant (Construction)
- B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 20+ years of experience in major construction projects, preferably as Head (Civil works), GM (Civil) in PSU, or SE in Government.
- Experience with green building projects worth not less than ₹100 crore preferred.
- Must be physically fit to work in hill/rough terrain projects.
- Age Limit: Up to 70 years.
Consultant (Training & Placement)
- B.E./B.Tech. or MBA with first class (minimum 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale).
- 5-10 years of significant and proven experience in placement activities, corporate relations, training, manpower development, or career development.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard office software required.
- Age Limit: Up to 70 years.
Other General Criteria
- Computer literacy and proficiency is mandatory.
- Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills are required.

Selection Process

General Terms and Conditions
- Appointments are purely contractual, initially for one year, and extendable based on performance.
- Engagement does not confer any right to regular appointment.
- Remuneration will remain fixed for the entire contract term.
- Consultants shall continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension.
- No HRA or additional allowances are admissible.
- Transport allowance will be fixed, not exceeding the rate applicable at retirement.
- Paid leave: 1.5 days per completed month of service. Leave cannot be carried forward.
- TA/DA as per last entitlement at the time of retirement for official work.
- Full-time assignment, no other work permitted during consultancy.
- Working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with requirements to work weekends or holidays if needed.
- Confidentiality of data and documents must be maintained. Consultants must sign a non-disclosure undertaking.
- NIT Uttarakhand reserves the right to cancel recruitment or terminate contracts with notice.
- Tax will be deducted at source as per government norms.
- No claim for regularization, absorption, or benefits will be entertained.
