The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), an all-India Apex Organization wholly owned by the Government of India and an equal opportunity employer, has released Advertisement No. 09 for the recruitment of Chief Financial Advisor on contract basis for the year 2025-26. The engagement is for NABARD Head Office, Mumbai. Applications are invited from Indian citizens possessing the required qualifications and experience.

Employment Type and Contract Period
- Employment Type: Contract Basis
- Initial Contract Period: 02 years from date of appointment
- Extension: Extendable for a further period of 03 years subject to annual review
- Maximum Tenure: Not beyond 05 years
- Bank may terminate contract at any time without prior notice and without assigning reason.
- In normal course, one month’s notice required from either side.
- If notice period is not served, payment equivalent to notice period salary must be paid.
Compensation and Benefits

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.02.2026)
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 30 years
Maximum Age: 62 years
Educational Qualification
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Desirable: MBA or Master’s degree
- Professional certifications such as CA or CMA preferred
- Additional certifications like CFA or FRM are added advantage
Experience
- At least 10+ years in banking, corporate finance, treasury, strategy, or financial advisory
- Minimum 5 years at senior-most level (CFO / CGM / GM in charge of Treasury preferred)
- Strong exposure to financial statements, regulatory requirements, treasury and ALM concepts
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present clearly to executives
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work with discretion, confidentiality and sound judgment
