KRIBHCO invites applications from qualified candidates for the positions of Agronomist for Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat on a contractual basis for an ongoing project.

Eligibility Criteria: Qualification & Experience
Candidates must satisfy either Option 1 or Option 2 detailed below:
Option 1
- Educational Qualification: B.Sc. Agriculture
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in potato (Santana, Quintera, etc.) contract farming / potato seed production.
Option 2
- Educational Qualification: 12th Pass in First Division
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in potato (Santana, Quintera, etc.) contract farming / potato seed production.
Other Requirements & Skills
- Vehicle & License: Motorcycle with a valid driving license is mandatory.
- Communication: Good communication skills with farmers and knowledge of the local language.
- Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel frequently in rural areas.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of potato cultivation (Santana, Quintera, etc.) and crop management practices.
- Computer Skills (Preferred): Knowledge of basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, email, etc.) will be preferred.
- Core Competencies: Good analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities & Job Description
The selected Agronomist will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:
- Development and management of potato contract farming programs in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
- Development and management of seed multiplication programme in Uttar Pradesh.
- Providing technical guidance to farmers on potato agronomy.
- Farmer identification, registration, and relationship management.
- Conducting field days, farmer meetings, demonstrations, and extension activities.
- Monitoring commercial and semi-commercial potato trials.
- Crop scouting, agronomic advisory, crop survey, and disease/pest surveillance.
- Collection of field data and preparation of technical reports.
- Assisting in seed procurement, distribution, harvesting, and storage activities.
- Ensuring that farmers adhere to recommended package of practices.
- Sample collection and testing of potatoes.
