Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Service (for Deputation Eligibility)

• Officers under Central Government / State Government / Union Territories:
• 1. Holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
• 2. With 2 years regular service in the scale of ₹1,31,100 – ₹2,16,600/- (7th CPC) (PB-4 ₹37,400–67,000 + GP ₹8,900 pre-revised) or equivalent; or
• 3. With 3 years regular service in the scale of ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900/- (7th CPC) (PB-4 ₹37,400–67,000 + GP ₹8,700 pre-revised) or equivalent.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of application. The age will be calculated based on the date of birth as per the Matriculation Certificate or equivalent document issued by a recognized Board/Authority.

Application Process

1. Applications must be submitted through Proper Channel. Applications without NOC or forwarding letter shall not be accepted.
2. Applications must be in the prescribed format as provided on the JERC website.
3. The following documents must be attached:
   • Application for the post of Secretary (Annexure-I).
   • Proforma for educational qualification & experience (Format-B).
   • Proforma for obtaining approval from the cadre controlling authority for forwarding of application for deputation (Annexure-II).
   • Up-to-date vigilance clearance certificate (Annexure-III).
   • Copies of Annual Confidential Reports / Annual Performance Appraisal Reports for the last five years duly attested by the parent cadre.
4. Completed applications may be sent by email to aao.jercuts@gov.in, followed by submission of original hard copy to:

5. Applications received after the closing date or without prescribed documents or not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
6. In case of selection, candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.

Selection Process

The candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted and called for interaction and/or written test.

Terms and Conditions

• The pay and allowances and other service conditions shall be governed by the JERC (Recruitment, Control and Service Conditions of Officers & Staff) Regulations, 2009, and Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17 June 2010 and its subsequent amendments.
• Appointment on deputation will be initially for a period of three years. Extension beyond this period will be considered in consultation with the Central Government subject to satisfactory performance appraisal every year.
• JERC reserves the right to cancel or amend the recruitment process or not to fill the post without assigning any reason.
• The Commission will not be responsible for any lapse or shortfall in the submission of the application.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview or written test.
