Pay Scale, Allowances & Pension Benefits
Pay Scale
Level-4 in the Pay Matrix: Rs. 25,500 – 81,100 (as per 7th Central Pay Commission - CPC).
Other Allowances
The post will carry the following allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions:
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- Ration Money
- Special Compensatory Allowance (while posted in specified border areas)
- Free Accommodation or House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Transport Allowance
- Leave Travel Concession (LTC)
- Free Medical Facilities
- Any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions
Pension Scheme Options
On appointment in ITBP, the candidates to opt either the “New Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (NPS)” introduced by the Government of India with effect from 01.01.2004 or the “United Pension Scheme (UPS)” introduced with effect from 01.04.2024, as per candidate convenience and will be eligible for the benefits admissible under the chosen scheme.
Eligibility Conditions
1. Educational and Other Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill either of the following qualifications from a recognized institution:
Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject;
Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Bachelor of Teaching (B.T.) or equivalent.
2. Age Limit & Permissible Birth Dates
- Age Range: Between 20 to 25 years.
- Crucial Date for Age Determination: 27th October, 2026 (27/10/2026) — closing date of receipt of online application.
- Date of Birth Bracket: Candidates should not have been born earlier than 28th October, 2001 (28/10/2001) and later than 27th October, 2006 (27/10/2006).
3. Important Instructions Regarding Certificates & Eligibility
- Proof of Date of Birth: The date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation certificate available on the date of submission of application shall be accepted as proof for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
- Crucial Date for Category Status: Crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS status will be the closing date for receipt of online applications (27th October, 2026).
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) Certificate: Candidates claiming Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) status may note that their certificate of Income & Assets should be based on the financial year prior to the year of application and should be in possession before the closing date for submission of online applications, i.e. 27th October, 2026 (27/10/2026).
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate: Candidates claiming OBC (NCL) status may note that certificate on non-creamy layer status should be based on the income earned during three previous financial years (i.e. 2025-26, 2024-25 and 2023-24) and should be in possession before the closing date for submission of online applications i.e. 27th October, 2026 (27/10/2026).
