Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- M.E. / M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering / Power System (and equivalent branches).
- B.Tech. / B.E. degree with a valid GATE score.
Desirable Background
- Sound technical knowledge of Power System Protection.
- Clear understanding of the concepts of Microgrid.
- Familiarity with the Integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DER).
Project Details & Job Description
Research Project Title: Adaptive Protection of Distribution Network Systems with DER Integration
Sponsoring Agency: GE Renewable Energy Technologies Private Ltd., India
Principal Investigator: Prof. Manoj Tripathy, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Roorkee
Detailed Scope of Work & Responsibilities:
- Conduct study and undertake setup of Smart Distribution Network laboratory hardware.
- Integrate and manage various types of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) within the laboratory framework.
- Develop, validate, and comprehensively test adaptive protection algorithms during the active operation of the distribution grid.
Selection Procedure
The selection process for the Junior Research Fellow position entails:
