Job Responsibilities

The selected Project Assistant (Administration) shall perform administrative duties in the Dean of Students' Welfare Office of IIT Roorkee. The responsibilities mentioned in the official notification include:

• Managing registration-related work for all undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students.
• Managing accommodation-related work for new and existing students.
• Handling allotment-related work for all fifteen Bachelor Hostels.
• Maintaining records and data of more than 9,000 on-campus students.
• Preparing semester-wise student fee collection data.
• Processing requests related to hostel fee refund.
• Processing requests related to mess fee refund.
• Processing hostel change requests.
• Processing NDNR status requests.
• Processing DR fee status requests.
• Processing requests for booking ordinary rooms.
• Processing requests for booking guest rooms.
• Processing requests for booking common rooms.
• Handling bookings for conferences and workshops.
• Preparing official letters.
• Preparing office memoranda.
• Preparing official notifications.
