Essential Qualification

Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Nanotechnology / Biomedical Engineering / Lifesciences / Equivalent
Minimum 2 first-author research publications in SCI-indexed journals related to:
- Cancer Nanotechnology
- Nanomedicine
- Cancer Mechanobiology
- Biomedical Engineering

Desirable Qualification

Experience in nanobiotechnology, including:
- Nanomaterial synthesis and characterization
- Molecular and cell biology assays
- Animal models
Motivation for cutting-edge research resulting in patents, publications, and product development
Willingness to engage in research collaborations with overseas institutions

Note: Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may apply but must provide proof of Ph.D. degree at the time of interview if shortlisted.

About the Department

The Centre of Biosciences was established in 1980, upgraded to a full-fledged department in 1986, and renamed the Department of Biotechnology in 2002. It was renamed again in January 2021 as the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering. The department conducts interdisciplinary research and offers academic programs in biotechnology, including a B.Tech. program introduced in 2005.
