Job Description

The project aims to experimentally reproduce the in-service thermo-mechanical fatigue loading experienced by AUSC steam turbine casing at specimen level, and to study the creep-fatigue interaction of IN625 alloy. A basic understanding of metallurgical aspects, material mechanics behavior, fracture mechanics, and fatigue is required. Candidates should be able to work independently. Skills like SEM, Optical Microscopy, EBSD Analysis, and Mechanical Testing are preferable but not mandatory.
