Employment Type

The appointment will be purely on a contract basis for a period of three years, renewable on mutual consent and subject to satisfactory performance reviews conducted on a half-yearly basis.

Base Salary / Honorarium

The selected candidate will be paid a fixed consolidated monthly honorarium. The exact amount has been left blank in the official notification (indicated as “₹ ……… per month”). The payment will be subject to deduction of applicable taxes at source (TDS). In case of absence from duties, proportionate deductions will be made from the monthly honorarium.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university in the Allopathic system of medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India.
2. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as a Medical Practitioner or in a hospital.

Application Process

Interested and eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed format (Annex-III) along with the checklist (Annex-IV). The completed application must be sent in a sealed cover superscribed as:

“Application for the post of Authorised Doctor on contract basis”

Selection Process

1. Candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview.
2. Mere fulfillment of eligibility does not guarantee an interview call.
3. The Bank may raise the eligibility standards to limit the number of interview calls.
4. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness and acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Contract.
5. The selected candidate must sign a contract agreement with the Bank before engagement.

Other Important Terms & Conditions

• The Medical Consultant must provide at least 10 working hours per week at fixed timings spread across working days.
• The consultant must provide emergency services, attend Board/Management meetings, and give medical advice on certificates.
• The consultant may be required to conduct house visits for Bank executives and their families. No separate consultation fee will be charged.
• The consultant must participate in CSR activities such as medical camps conducted by the Bank.
• The consultant must abide by the Code of Conduct (Annex-II).
• The contract is liable to termination if the consultant is arrested or detained by law.
