Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Applicant must be an Indian National.
• Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institution OR Qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum 50% marks in 3-Year LL.B., 5-Year Integrated LL.B., Post Graduation Degree, or Chartered Accountancy qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Accountants having completed articleship in taxation.
• Law graduates/post-graduates engaged in research work or projects in taxation.
• Candidates with skills in Information & Communication Technology (ICT), good communication and interpersonal skills.

Application Process

1. Mode of Application: Offline submission only.
2. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format.
3. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will be rejected.
4. Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email or speed post.
5. Candidates must bring original documents for verification at the time of interview.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• The engagement does not constitute a permanent government job.
• Young Professionals are entitled to 8 days of leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
• Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward to the next year.
• Confidentiality and secrecy obligations apply under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
• The department may terminate the engagement at any time with one month’s notice.
• Absence beyond 8 continuous days without intimation may result in automatic termination.
• An experience certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of engagement.
