Educational Qualification
Candidates must carefully satisfy all eligibility conditions before submitting the online application.
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a duly recognized Law School, College, University or Institute established by law in India.
- Candidate should be eligible for enrolment as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India.
- Final-year students pursuing the three-year or five-year Law Degree are also eligible to apply.
- Final-year students must produce proof of obtaining the law qualification before the interview or before joining as Law Researcher.

Nationality
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Disqualification Conditions
Applicants must ensure that none of the following disqualifications apply to them.
- Candidate must not be engaged or appointed elsewhere on honorarium or payment basis on the date of joining.
- Candidate should not have been involved in any criminal case involving moral turpitude, whether pending or convicted.
- Candidate must not be facing any disciplinary proceeding before the Bar Council of India, State Bar Council or any other competent authority.
Term of Engagement
- Engagement shall be purely on a short-term contractual basis.
- The period of engagement shall be determined by the Hon'ble Judge concerned.
- Engagement may be extended up to three years or till the retirement or cessation of office of the concerned Hon'ble Judge, whichever is earlier.
- In exceptional circumstances, the engagement may be extended up to four years subject to satisfactory performance.
- Contractual engagement shall not confer any right or claim for regular appointment or continuation beyond the actual engagement period.
- Services of a Law Researcher may be terminated prematurely without any notice.
- A Law Researcher intending to resign before completion of the engagement must provide at least one month's prior written notice through the Private Secretary of the Hon'ble Judge.
Selection Process

- Assessment as prescribed by the concerned Hon'ble Judge.
- Interview, if conducted, entirely at the discretion of the Hon'ble Judge.
