Desirable Qualifications
- Demonstrated fieldwork experience in village surveys, ethnographic work, socio-economic surveys or similar field studies.
- Ability to work in hill terrain.
- Ability to stay in field areas during survey work.
- Working knowledge of Hindi.
- Knowledge of local Pahari or Jaunsari dialects will be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the project team in conducting household surveys.
- Participate in interviews and group discussions in Jaunsari villages located in Kalsi, Chakrata and Tyuni tehsils.
- Assist in audio and video documentation of rituals, institutions and oral traditions.
- Maintain field records and survey schedules.
- Perform basic data entry using laptops.
- Coordinate logistics related to field visits under the guidance of project investigators.
Food, accommodation and travel during fieldwork will be arranged by the project according to approved budget norms.
