Associate Professor Pay Matrix

Selected candidates will be placed under Academic Level 13A with a rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/-.

Retirement Benefits Note: Retirement benefits will be provided in accordance with the State Government orders as amended from time to time and adapted by the university.

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

The eligibility criteria vary by college and discipline as stipulated under Employment Notice No. A-30/2026:

1. College of Agriculture, College of Community Science, College of Basic Sciences & Humanities, College of Fisheries & College of Technology (Posts at Sl. No. 34 to 37)

A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
A minimum of seven (7) publications in the peer-reviewed or NAAS or UGC-listed journals.
A total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Annexure-II, Table 2.

2. College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

A recognized basic veterinary qualification included in the schedules I/II of Indian Veterinary Council Act: 1984 & must be registered with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India.
A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
A Master's Degree in the concerned/relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
A minimum of seven (7) publications in the peer-reviewed NAAS rated or UGC-listed journals.
A total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Annexure-II, Table -2.

3. College of Technology (Posts at Sl. No. 38 to 42)

a. Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
AND
b. At least total six (6) research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.
AND
c. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least two (2) years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
