Eligibility Criteria
Research Associate – I (RA)
Essential Qualification: M.Tech / M.E or Ph.D in Hydrology, Water Resources Management, Earth Sciences, Geology, Agriculture Engineering, RS-GIS, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience in land degradation, restoration studies, groundwater & surface water hydrology, RS-GIS, hydrological modelling.
- Proficiency in Python, R, database management, statistical analysis.
- Experience in Indian Himalayan Region.
- Proven record of publications in reputed journals.
Junior Project Fellow (JPF)
Essential Qualification: B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / Master’s degree in Hydrology, Earth Sciences, Geology, Agriculture Engineering, RS-GIS, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficiency in digital and field data acquisition.
- Experience handling high-end navigation systems.
- Knowledge of RS-GIS.
- Experience in hydrological processes simulation and modelling, land restoration models.
- Good documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience of working in Indian Himalayan Region.
Field Assistant
Essential Qualification: Intermediate (10+2).
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in the Indian Himalayan Region.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in remote terrains of Indian Himalayan Region.
- Exposure of working in scientific environment and with research teams.
- Knowledge of handling, operating, and maintaining hydro-meteorological equipment and field data collection.
Age Limit
- Research Associate – I: 35 years
- Junior Project Fellow: 28 years
- Field Assistant: 45 years
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH and for candidates already working in GBPNIHE.
