Salary Structure and Remuneration
Selected candidates will receive monthly remuneration according to their professional experience along with Dearness Allowance as per the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized Indian institution or university.
- Candidates must hold a permanent registration certificate issued by the Medical Council of India or the respective State Medical Council.
- Candidates should have at least two years of working experience as a General Physician in any Government, Semi-Government, or recognized hospital.
Desirable Qualification
- M.D. or M.S. degree in the allopathic system of medicine.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: Candidates should not be more than 50 years of age as on 24 July 2026.

Selection Process
- Walk-in interview.
- Verification of educational certificates and experience documents.
- Verification of original certificates at the time of joining.
- Appointment shall remain provisional until all certificates are verified.
Contract Period
The contractual appointment shall initially be for a period of one year. The Director, Forest Research Institute, may extend the contract on a year-to-year basis depending upon institutional requirements.
Leave Policy and Duty Hours
- Duty hours shall be similar to those of other Medical Officers working at New Forest Hospital.
- The selected candidate shall be entitled to only two days of leave per month.
- No leave encashment shall be payable.
- Unauthorized absence from duty without prior approval shall automatically lead to termination of the contract.
- The appointee shall not be entitled to receive contractual remuneration for any period of unauthorized absence.
Accommodation Facility
Residence within the Forest Research Institute campus is mandatory for the selected candidate.
- Residential accommodation shall be provided within the New Forest Campus.
- Accommodation shall be allotted on payment of the normal house license fee.

Terms and Conditions of Appointment
- The engagement is purely contractual and temporary in nature.

- The Director, Forest Research Institute, reserves the right not to fill the advertised post without assigning any reason.
- In case the selected candidate wishes to terminate the contract earlier, he or she must provide at least two months' advance notice to the Director, FRI.
- No government vehicle shall be provided to the selected candidate.
- No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview or for joining duties.
- The appointment is provisional and subject to verification of educational qualifications and other certificates.
- The selected candidate must produce all original certificates at the time of joining.
- The appointee shall not be entitled to Leave Travel Concession (LTC).
- Medical facilities available at New Forest Hospital shall be provided only to the appointee.
- No medical reimbursement shall be payable by the institute.
- Employees Group Insurance Scheme, EPF, and GPF shall not be applicable to contractual appointees.
- All other terms and conditions shall be governed by applicable rules, orders, instructions, and relevant court decisions in force from time to time.
