Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following educational qualifications and experience requirements.
Option I
- B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or BMLT from a recognized university.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a clinical or research laboratory.
Option II
- B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related disciplines.
- One-year full-time Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/MLT).
- One year of laboratory experience.
Option III
- Passed Class 12th with Science stream.
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/MLT) of two years duration.
- Two years of laboratory experience in a clinical or research setting.
Experience must be obtained after acquiring the minimum qualification and should be from recognized clinical, research, or diagnostic laboratories.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in molecular biology and immunology techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, electrophoresis, and related laboratory procedures.
- Experience in handling biomedical research samples and laboratory instruments.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance (QA/QC).
- Knowledge of biosafety and biomedical waste disposal.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, data entry, and laboratory record management.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in ICMR-funded or DHR-funded projects and clinical microbiology laboratories.
