Nature of Work

The contractual Assistant Engineer (Electrical) shall work under the administrative control of the Regional Director, ESIC. The selected candidate may be deputed to ESIC hospitals, dispensaries, offices, staff quarters, or any other ESIC establishments as per requirement for undertaking electrical works.

The candidate will be eligible for TA/DA for tours undertaken for official duties, as per ESIC rules applicable to regular Assistant Engineers.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a retired Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or higher officer.
• Retirement should be from Central/State Public Works Department (PWD) or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs/PSUs).
• Candidates must have held the post of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or a superior post at the time of retirement.

Educational Qualification

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit is 64 years as on 05 January 2026.
• No extension of contract shall be granted beyond 65 years of age.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on Interview.
• Date and time of interview will be communicated to shortlisted candidates via email only.

Leave & Contract Conditions

• One day leave per completed month of service in addition to government holidays.
• Contract tenure is one year, extendable yearly based on satisfactory performance.
• Selected candidate must sign an agreement as per ESIC guidelines.
