Application Process

Interested candidates must apply on the prescribed form, which can be downloaded from the university website. The duly filled application must be accompanied by the prescribed processing fee in the form of an IPO/Bank Draft payable to the Comptroller, Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (H.P.) at any State Bank of India / UCO Bank / Punjab National Bank branch.

The complete application should reach the Office of the Dean, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur (H.P.) – 177001 on or before 10 October 2025 (Friday) up to 5:00 PM.

• Interview Date: 14 October 2025 (Tuesday, 11:00 AM onward)
• Project Validity: Up to 14 March 2026 or availability of funds

Eligibility Criteria

• M.Sc. in Microbiology with a minimum of two years research experience
• ICAR NET / Equivalent examination qualification is mandatory
• Preference for candidates with Ph.D. (Microbiology)
• Experience in handling endophytes will be considered desirable

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 45 years
• Age relaxation: As per Government of India norms for reserved categories

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Walk-in Interview scheduled on 14 October 2025 (Tuesday) at 11:00 AM onward in the Committee Room, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur (H.P.).

• Candidates must bring all original documents/testimonials at the time of interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• No separate letter for interview will be issued.

Terms and Conditions

1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. The upper age limit is 45 years.
3. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.
4. The candidate must sign a service contract agreement on stamp paper at the time of joining.
5. The appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project or availability of funds.
6. A selected candidate who wishes to resign must serve one-month prior notice.
7. Candidates already working in any project should apply through proper channel.
8. The university reserves the right not to fill up any or all posts without assigning any reason.
9. No separate letter for interview will be issued; applicants must appear at their own expense.
10. The university will not accept excuses for non-attendance at the interview.
11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
12. Candidates must bring original testimonials at the time of interview.
13. Errors, if any, are subject to correction.
