3. Emoluments & TRCA Slab (Time Related Continuity Allowance)
The remuneration for engaged Gramin Dak Sevaks is paid in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA). The applicable TRCA slabs for the specified posts are outlined below:

4. Eligibility Criteria (For All GDS Posts)
5.1. Age Limits & Determinations
Age Parameters
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age Condition: Subject to permissible relaxations as specified in the rules.
Crucial Date for Age Reckoning
Age will be determined as on the last date of submission of applications (i.e., 21.09.2026 upto 1700 Hrs).
Relaxations in Upper Age Limit:

5.2. Qualification as on the Date of Notification
5.2.1. Educational Qualification
- Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India / State Governments / Union Territories in India.
- The candidates having equivalent qualification from any other board are not eligible to apply for engagement as GDS.
5. Online Application Process & Submission Steps
Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) [i.e., Branch Postmaster (BPM) / Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevaks]. The details of tentative vacant posts in each Circle/Division are provided in Annexure-I of the official notification. Candidates must follow the sequence below for applying online:
- One-Time Registration: Access the official portal and complete the online registration between 31.08.2026 and 19.09.2026 (upto 1700 Hrs).
- Submission of Online Applications & Fee Payment: Submit the completed application form along with the prescribed online fee payment between 02.09.2026 and 21.09.2026 (upto 1700 Hrs).
- Correction Window: Make any necessary corrections in the Registration/Application Forms, including payment of the online fee (if applicable), between 23.09.2026 and 24.09.2026 (upto 1700 Hrs).
