Job Location / Address

Initial posting will be at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The selected candidate will be liable to be posted/ transferred to any of the offices/ project sites under the control of the Corporation in India, or abroad.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.09.2025)

• Educational Qualification: B.Tech or equivalent in Civil / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication from a recognized university/institute (full-time course).
• Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years in Rail Sector
  • At least 5 years in Operations/Maintenance of Metro System
  • At least 3 years as Head/Deputy Head O&M (or equivalent)
  • Total 25 years service at Gazetted/Executive level in Govt./Rail/Metro or equivalent private sector
  • For private sector candidates: Annual CTC of ₹40 Lakhs or more

Selection Process

• Direct Recruitment & PRCE: Personal Interview and Medical Examination
• Deputation: Personal Interview
• Medical examination will be as per DMRC standards (Executive/Technical category)

Other Important Information

• Tenure: Normal DMRC retirement age is 60 years. Deputation tenure is 5 years (extendable to 7 years). PRCE engagement is initially for 1 year (extendable based on performance).
• Bond: Candidate must execute a Surety Bond of ₹4,00,000 to serve DMRC for at least 3 years or till retirement.
• Probation: 1 year (for direct recruitment).
• Character & Antecedents: Verification mandatory.
• Job Role: Responsible for operations and maintenance of Chennai Metro Rail Phase-II corridors and depots.
