Employment Type

All positions are purely temporary for a period of three years or until the completion of the project titled “Design and Development of High-power Ultrafast Fiber Laser-Amplifier System (HUFLAS)” — whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria

Research Associate (RA)

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR 3 years of research, teaching, or design experience after M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc.
• At least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
• Relevant field: Physics, Electronics, Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics.
• Desirable: Experience with ultrafast/fiber lasers, nonlinear optics, MATLAB, Python, COMSOL, Zemax, Lumerical, OptiSystem, Ansys, etc.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. (First Division) with NET/GATE or M.E./M.Tech. (First Division).
• Minimum 2 years of research/teaching/industrial experience in relevant fields.
• Desirable: First Class from Secondary level, journal publications, understanding of ultrafast fiber lasers and optics, knowledge of simulation software such as MATLAB, Python, Comsol Multiphysics, Ansys Lumerical.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. (First Division) with NET/GATE or M.E./M.Tech. (First Division).
• Desirable: Knowledge of ultrafast fiber lasers, nonlinear optics, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Comsol Multiphysics, Ansys Lumerical.
• JRF will be promoted to SRF after two years, subject to satisfactory performance.

Project Assistant (PA)

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office suite.
• Preference for candidates with experience in procurement and office file management.

Age Limit

Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST/Women/PwBD and 3 years for OBC (NCL).

Reservation Details

Reservation and relaxation are applicable as per Government of India norms. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/Women candidates are eligible for respective relaxations in age limit and other applicable benefits.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates based on qualifications and experience.
• Selected candidates must join immediately upon receiving the offer letter.

• Recruited fellows will be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. at DIAT as per institute norms.
• Medical facilities are limited to MI Room facilities within DIAT.
