Eligibility Criteria

Reservation Details

• Reservation will be provided as per the provisions of the General Administration Department, Bihar (Notification No. 11/अनी/1-10/2023 सां. 14396, dated 10.09.2024).
• Reservation benefits are applicable only to candidates domiciled in Bihar.
• Candidates from outside Bihar will be considered under the General Category.
• 50% of the total vacancies are reserved for women candidates.

Application Fee

• Each candidate must pay an application fee of ₹100/-.
• The fee can be paid online or through Demand Draft (Payable at Patna Secretariat Branch Code 00153).
• Demand Draft should be in favor of “Police Deputy Inspector General (Crime), Recruitment Board, Crime Investigation Department, Bihar, Patna.”

Selection Process

1. Selection will be conducted by a board constituted under the Crime Investigation Department, Bihar.
2. Candidates will be evaluated based on educational qualifications, experience, and interview performance.
3. Medical fitness (6/6 eyesight and no color blindness) and character verification are mandatory before appointment.
4. Candidates must join the post within 7 days of receiving the appointment letter.

Contractual Terms and Conditions

• The contract period is 11 months, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
• No additional financial benefits will be provided apart from the fixed honorarium.
• The appointment will not be treated as government service.
• The service will automatically terminate upon the contract’s expiry.
• 12 days of casual leave per calendar year will be granted.
• Candidates with color blindness are not eligible for appointment.
• Bihar Service Code and government instructions will apply.
• If a candidate is already employed under a similar contract, their previous appointment will terminate upon new appointment.
• Appointed candidates must contribute to duty within 7 days of receiving the appointment letter.
