Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the required medical qualifications as prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi. Qualifications include MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCh, DrNB or equivalent degrees in the relevant specialty from a recognized university or institution.
In departments such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmacology, non-medical faculty may be appointed up to 30% of the total sanctioned posts, subject to non-availability of medical teachers.
Registration
Applicants must have a live registration with the State Medical Council, Medical Council of India, or National Medical Commission for the concerned specialty.
Experience Requirement
- Minimum one year experience as Senior Resident in the relevant subject, or equivalent experience as recognized by NMC norms.
- Experience gained as Tutor/Demonstrator with required postgraduate qualification is considered equivalent.
- Armed Forces Medical Officers, Government Specialists, and Non-teaching Consultants are eligible as per the conditions mentioned in the notification.
