Employment Type

The post is on a Contract / Trainee basis. The selected candidate shall not be entitled to service benefits as admissible to Government employees on a regular basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

1. 10+2 in Science from a recognized Board of School Education or University.
2. B.Sc. in any of the following disciplines from a recognized University:
   • B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiology & Imaging)
   • B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-Ray / Radio Diagnosis & Radiotherapy)
   • B.Sc. Radiation Technology
   • B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology
   • B.Sc. in Allied Health Science / Medical Radio & Imaging Technology
   • Bachelor of Radiation & Imaging Technology (Lateral Entry)

Other Requirements

• Must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Para Medical Council, Shimla.
• Must be a citizen of India.

Desirable Qualification

Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years

Upper age limit shall be as per the rules of the Himachal Pradesh Government.

Selection Process

The selection process shall consist of an Objective Type Written Screening Test of 100 marks. The test will include questions from the following areas:

• Concerned Subject
• General Knowledge (including knowledge of Himachal Pradesh)
• Everyday Science
• Social Science
• Current Affairs and Logic
• General English
• General Hindi

General Instructions & Conditions

1. Persons with disabilities of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from paying the application fee, provided they attach a copy of the valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
2. Female candidates of Himachal Pradesh are also exempted from paying the application fee.
3. Canvassing, direct or indirect, shall lead to disqualification.
4. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up the post advertised.
5. Applications received without prescribed fee or with less fee shall not be accepted.
6. Candidates must write their telephone number, mobile number, and email ID below their signature in the application form.
7. While every care has been taken in preparing the advertisement, the University reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent errors later.
8. The selected candidate shall execute an agreement with the University as per rules.
9. The post of Radiographer (Trainee) is meant exclusively for Veterinary Radiography; the selected candidate will deal with various kinds of animals while performing duties.
