Application Process
- Applications must be submitted online only through the CU Chayan Portal.
- Applicants must upload all required documents in the portal.
- Applications sent only by post will not be accepted.
- Separate applications and fees are required for each post applied for.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility and academic/research scores will be evaluated as per UGC Regulations 2018.
- According to the UGC Amendment 2021, a Ph.D. is not mandatory for Assistant Professor posts.
- Department-specific educational qualifications and experience are detailed in Annexure-1 and Annexure-2 of the official notice.
- Allied and related disciplines are listed in Annexure-3.
Reservation Details
- Applicable categories: UR, SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS and PwD.
- OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued within 6 months from the closing date of applications.
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer will be treated as Unreserved (UR).
- All reservation certificates must follow Government of India prescribed formats.

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on the Academic/Research Score as per UGC Appendix II, Table 2 (2018).
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview as per UGC norms.
- Exceptionally suitable candidates may be considered in absentia.
- Original documents must be verified at the time of interview.
Other Important Information
- The University reserves the right to revise, reschedule or cancel the recruitment process without prior notice.
- Application fees once paid are non-refundable.
- Regular appointments are governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) (for institutions established on or after 1 January 2004).
- Deputation or re-employment (up to 10 years) for eminent scholars is permissible for senior faculty positions.
- Incomplete, misleading or ineligible applications will be rejected without any notice.
- Legal jurisdiction for any dispute shall lie with the High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla.
