Recruitment Notice: Central Bank of India has invited applications from retired officers of Public Sector Banks in Scale IV and above for empanelment as Inquiry Authorities on a contractual basis.

Central Bank of India has released a notification regarding the engagement of retired Public Sector Bank officers in the rank of Scale IV and above for the post of Inquiry Authority on a contractual basis. Eligible retired officers possessing relevant experience in banking operations, human resources, industrial relations, and departmental inquiries may apply for empanelment before the prescribed deadline.

Employment Nature

The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis.
The appointment is for empanelment as Inquiry Authority.
Only retired officers from Public Sector Banks are eligible.
The selected officers may be assigned inquiry proceedings as per the requirements of the bank.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must have retired from the service of a Public Sector Bank upon attaining superannuation at the age of 60 years.
The officer must have retired in the cadre of Scale IV or above.
The officer should not be more than 63 years of age as on the date of publication of the notification.
Officers who voluntarily retired, resigned, were suspended, dismissed, terminated, or left the bank before superannuation are not eligible.
The officer should possess a good service record.
No major punishment or penalty should have been imposed during the five years preceding retirement.
No minor punishment or penalty should have been imposed during the three years preceding retirement.
The officer should not have been named in the ODI List during the last five years of service before retirement.
The retired officer should not have any criminal record.
The applicant must be physically and mentally fit.
The officer should have worked in different areas of banking, human resources, or industrial relations.
Preference is intended for officers having experience in handling departmental inquiries in any of the following capacities:
- Inquiry Authority.
- Presenting Officer.
- Disciplinary Authority.
The officer should possess good report-writing skills.
The officer should be willing to travel whenever required.

Candidates Not Eligible for Engagement

The following categories of officers shall not be considered for engagement:

Officers who opted for voluntary retirement.
Officers who resigned from service.
Officers who were suspended.
Officers who were dismissed.
Officers whose services were terminated.
Officers who left the bank before attaining superannuation.

Remuneration Structure

The empaneled Inquiry Authorities shall be paid lump-sum remuneration depending upon the scale of the charge-sheeted officer and the time taken to complete the inquiry proceedings and submit the inquiry report.
