Salary and Employment Type
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary as per institute rules, depending upon qualifications and experience:
- Base Salary: ₹25,000/- per month
- HRA: 27% HRA (as per DST OM dated 10.07.2020)
- Employment Type: Contract (for one year or duration of the project, whichever is shorter)
Eligibility and Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Project Associate-I position:
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology with a good academic record.
- Mandatory 6-month research training during Master’s degree in a recognized research laboratory.
- Hands-on experience in techniques including:
- Protein extraction and Western Blotting
- RNA isolation from cells and tumour samples
- DNA/RNA isolation
- cDNA synthesis
- Quantitative real-time PCR
- Basic cell culture techniques
- Ability to carry out the above techniques independently.
Job Description
The project involves cancer cell biology. The candidate should have direct hands-on experience with protein and nucleic acid extraction, molecular biology techniques, and cell culture methodologies. Independence in executing these tasks is required.

Selection Process
The selection will be carried out as follows:
