Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.

Technical Qualification

• Diploma in Sports Coaching in the relevant discipline from:
  • Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NIS) – Sports Authority of India
  • Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior
  • Central University of Sports
  • Or equivalent qualification from a UGC recognized Sports University
• Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC) is also acceptable.

Sports Achievements

• Represented India in any recognized international competition.
• Represented State in any national championship.
• Participated in Olympic / Commonwealth / Asian / World / Asian Championships.
• Participated at least two times in All India Inter-University or National Junior Championships.
• Participated at least three times in Inter-Service / Police / Railway Championships.

Reservation Details

Total Vacancies: 379

• 35% horizontal reservation for women (Bihar domicile only).
• 4% horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
• 2% horizontal reservation for grandchildren of freedom fighters.
• 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
• Transgender candidates will be treated under Backward Class reservation.
• Only permanent residents (domiciles) of Bihar are eligible for reservation benefits.

Written Examination Details

Minimum Qualifying Marks

If more than 40,000 applications are received, a Preliminary Examination will be conducted to shortlist candidates. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination and interview.

In case of a tie in total marks, preference will be given to the older candidate, and if the age is also the same, then the alphabetical order of names (A to Z) will be considered.
